FORREST

Meet Forrest! Forrest entered the rescue in February 2019, so he's a little bit of a staple around here. He is best described as special needs. Forrest struggles to maintain proper balance and coordination due to a congenital neurological condition he has called Cerebellar hypoplasia commonly referred to as CH. Forrest rarely walks and is known to run, even crash into things! This is likely how he got his name! He has gained substantial functioning of his motor skills since entering the rescue but at times can still be a 65 lb wrecking ball. Over the years several families have expressed interest in adopting Forrest but quickly realize he is much harder in practice than in theory. Forrest's ideal foster/adopter would be local to the rescue and in the Sturbridge area. This way the rescue can offer as much guidance and support as necessary with taking on Forrest as a foster or new family member. He is not suitable to live with small children or small animals (cats, bunnies, etc). He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, house trained and crate trained.
